A 13-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.

Police Scotland said the collision happened at around 6.10pm on Tuesday on Nitshill Road, in the south west of the city.

The teenager was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment.

Officers had closed Nitshill Road at the junction with Loganswell Road and Inverewe Avenue at the time but later reopened it.
