A fresh appeal to locate a teenager missing for more than two weeks has been issued by police.

Officers are asking for the help of the public to trace Cameron MacKenzie after he disappeared from Greenock in Inverclyde on March 17.

The 16-year-old was last seen three days later on the morning of Monday, March 20 in the Kirriemuir area in Angus.

It is thought he may have travelled to Dundee, however he has yet to make contact with friends or relatives.

Cameron is also believed to have links to the Tayside and Forth Valley areas, according to officers.

He is described as being around six feet tall, with short brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black body warmer, black jumper, black tracksuit bottoms and had a black backpack.

Anyone with information on Cameron’s whereabouts is urged to contact police as soon as possible on 101, quoting incident number 3433 of March 19.
