'Increasing concern' for missing woman last seen a week ago

Police say it is unlike her to not be in contact with family and friends.

Fresh appeal launched to trace missing woman last seen a week ago in Shettleston area of Glasgow Police Scotland

Concern is growing for the wellbeing of a woman who disappeared a week ago.

Shona McKenna was last seen in the Shettleston area of Glasgow at around 12.40pm on Wednesday, January 4.

The 46-year-old was seen walking along Tollcross Road near Carmyle Avenue and reported missing on Monday, January 9.

She is described as white, 5ft 7in in height and of a slim build with long fair hair.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a knee-length cream puffy gilet.

Inspector Bryceland from Police Scotland, said: “Shona’s family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing as she has not been in touch with them which is very unlike her.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Tollcross Road area, between 12.30pm and 1pm on Wednesday, January 4, especially if they have any doorbell or dashcam footage just in case Shona’s image has been captured.”

Anyone who has seen Shona since Wednesday, January 4 or knows of her present whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately quoting incident number 2379 of January 9 2023.
