Police have launched a fresh appeal following a hit and run crash involving a motorbike in Glasgow.
Officers were alerted to the incident around 8pm on New Year’s Eve on Mosspark Drive between the junctions with Arbroath Avenue and Tealing Avenue.
A 69-year-old woman was seriously injured in the incident after being struck by a grey Yamaha MT-07 motorbike while crossing the road.
The woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where her condition has been described as “serious but stable”.
Police described the motorbike as having “distinctive” red on the wheels and said it was seen travelling north towards Paisley Road West.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our investigation has established that the motorcycle was stolen and we are following a number of enquiries to trace the rider who made off from the scene of the crash.
“Our road checks on Saturday identified a number of potential witnesses who had not previously spoken to officers.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, the motorbike prior to the crash or who has any other information which could assist to come forward.
“I am also appealing to the motorbike rider to do the right thing and come forward.
“Anyone with information that could assist officers is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2984 of Sunday, December 31, 2023.”
