A man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries following the incident.

A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a late night disturbance in the Springburn area of Glasgow.

Police believe an initial disturbance occurred on Petershill Road which continued to sports facilities near to Adamswell Street between 11pm on Sunday, April 9 and 12.50am on Monday, April 10.

The force said that four male youths may have been involved in the incident.

A 32-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Mark Tibbs said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may be able to assist to come forward.

“We would be particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen four male youths who may have been involved in the incident or anyone with dashcam or private CCTV from the area.

“Anyone who can help can call 101, quoting reference 0138 of April 10, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
