Four people have been taken to hospital and a stretch of the M74 has been closed following a crash.
Emergency services were alerted to a collision at around 3.30pm on Friday.
As a result, the northbound carriageway between junctions 6 and 7 at Ferniegair has been closed.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that four patients have been taken to Wishaw General Hospital.
Their current condition is unknown at this time.
It is understood that one patient is being treated on the scene.
Police Scotland have advised motorists to find an alternative route at this time.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 3.21pm to attend a road traffic collision on the M74. We dispatched several resources to the scene including our trauma and special operations teams.
“We transported four patients to Wishaw General Hospital.”
