Actor Paul Brannigan has appeared in court over an alleged assault on New Year’s Day.
Brannigan, 33, is accused of attacking David Brannigan, 29, in Glasgow’s Gallowgate area.
Prosecutors claim Brannigan repeatedly stabbed David to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Brannigan made no plea at Glasgow Sheriff Court and was bailed by Sheriff Paul Reid pending further examination.
The actor has appeared in BBC soap River City and featured in movies such as The Angel’s Share and Sunshine on Leith.
