An elderly woman has been left in critical condition after being struck by a car in Inverclyde.
Emergency services were called to Union Street in Greenock at around 11.05am on Thursday, October 27.
The 90-year-old woman was struck by a Suzuki Splash car, and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.
Medical staff have described her condition as “life-threatening”.
Police said the 90-year-old driver of the car was not physically injured.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans at the Road Policing Complex at Helen Street, Govan is appealing for witnesses to the incident.
The force would also like to hear from anyone who has captured the incident on CCTV or has dashcam footage.
