An eight-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a dog attack in Renfrewshire.
The child was attacked by two dogs in Hagg Crescent, Johnstone, around 6pm on Thursday July 19.
He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and has since been released.
A man and a woman, both aged 66, have been charged in connection with the incident.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “On Sunday, July 19, we received a report that an eight-year-old boy had been attacked by two dogs in Hagg Crescent, Johnstone, around 6pm on Thursday, July 16.
“The boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children with serious injuries and has since been released.
“A man and a woman, both aged 66, have been charged in connection and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
