Three people have been charged in connection with drug offences after police uncovered more than £40,000 worth of cocaine when stopping a car in Dumfries.
Officers also raided a home in the town, recovering more of the class A substance and a quantity of cannabis as part of the operation on Friday, November 10.
The trio, aged 22, 23 and 37 respectively, were arrested after the car was stopped on the A701 near Parkgate.
They will appear in court at a later date and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Detective inspector Graeme Robertson said: “This recovery highlights our efforts to disrupt the illegal and harmful supply of drugs in our communities. It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
