Drivers rushed to hospital after crash involving two buses

Two drivers have been rushed to hospital after two buses crashed in Lockerbie.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident in which the two buses collided while travelling in opposite directions on Alexandria Drive.

The two male drivers, aged 41 and 73, were taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary as a result of the incident, which occurred around 3.15pm on Tuesday.

The 73-year-old was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

​Constable Christopher Wightman at Dumfries and Galloway Road Policing Unit issued a call to witnesses and anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage to come forward.
