A driver was arrested following a car and foot chase through Glasgow after a house break-in.
Police were called to the West End area of the city at around 12.50am on Monday after receiving reports that a vehicle had been stolen from a house.
During a search of the area, a Ford Focus with a number of male passengers was spotted driving away from the scene at “high speed”.
The vehicle failed to stop and officers pursued it before the occupants made off on foot in the Temple area of the city.
The driver was captured and subsequently arrested and charged. They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A police spokesperson said: “At around 12.50am on Monday, Glasgow Road Police and Lanarkshire Road Police responded to reports of a theft of a motor vehicle after a house breaking in the West End of Glasgow.
“While searching the area, this Ford Focus was spotted driving away at high speed, with no lights and a number of males on board.
“It was pursued through the area until the occupants made off on foot in the Temple area.
“The driver was captured, arrested, and charged for a number of RTA offences and held in court to appear at Glasgow Sherriff Court on Monday, April 25.”
