Dozens of firefighters are battling a blaze that has been ripping through six properties in East Kilbride.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it received reports of a “well-developed” fire in the Whitelee area of the South Lanarkshire town at around 4pm on Friday.
Four fire appliances were rushed to the scene alongside a high-reach appliance.
No casualties have been reported.
According to South Lanarkshire Council, Greenhills Road from Stroud Road to Quarry Road and Quarry Road from Greenhills Road to Laurel Drive have been shut due to the fire.
A spokesperson for the force added: “Officers received a report of a fire around 5.40pm on Friday.
“Emergency services remain at the scene.”
