Traffic disruption is expected in Glasgow after the Clyde Tunnel required emergency repair work.

Glasgow City Council announced that all northbound traffic using the tunnel will be diverted.

This is due to “emergency maintenance” in the south lane.

The work is expected to continue into next week, the council confirmed.

Due to emergency maintenance of the Southbound bore of the Clyde Tunnel, all tunnel traffic will be diverted via contraflow in the Northbound bore. These works are expected to continue into next week.

Drivers have been told to “expect delays” when using the tunnel.
