Dead body pulled from River Clyde in search for missing woman last seen in Glasgow Police Scotland

A body has been recovered from the River Clyde in Glasgow during a search for a missing woman.

At around 12,20pm on Wednesday, emergency services recovered a woman’s body near Dalmarnock.

Police said formal identification had yet to take place but the family of Shona McKenna had been informed.

The 46-year-old was last seen walking along Tollcross Road near Carmyle Avenue on Monday, January 9.

Police said enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death but it is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for the force said: “A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
