A man and his teenage son have been assaulted during an attempted robbery in Glasgow city centre.
The 50 and 15-year-old were in the city’s George Square when they were attacked by two men at around 10.40pm on Tuesday.
The men demanded money from the pair and assaulted them when they refused to hand anything over.
The suspects ran off towards nearby High Street following the attack.
Police are now investigating the incident as they look to trace the duo responsible.
The only descriptions they have of the men is that one is white, and around 5ft8, and the other is black.
Constable Calvin Leslie, of Govan Police Station, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident, but nonetheless this was a frightening experience for the man and his son.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident who may have witnessed what happened to please come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101.”
