A crossbow was fired at the window of a property in Paisley on Saturday night.

Officers were alerted around 9.10pm on May 21, in the Galloway area, after a resident found a “spiked object” lodged in a window of their property on Arkleston Drive.

Sergeant Jason Cooper said: “Fortunately no one was injured, but the householder was left frightened by what happened and we are eager to trace whoever was responsible.

“If anyone saw anything suspicious around the time of this incident, or has information that could help with our ongoing enquiries then please get in touch.

“You can contact officers via 101, quoting incident number 3578 of Saturday, May 21, 2022, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
