An investigation is under way after a young girl was found alone in West Dunbartonshire by a concerned member of the public.
The teenager was brought to officers after being found in St Andrews Way, Clydebank, at around 11am on Monday.
Her age and why she was in the area by herself are currently unknown and police said their enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Monday, February 20, we were made aware of concerns relating to a teenage girl found in St Andrews Way, Clydebank.
“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and at an early stage.”
