A climate change activist allegedly caught with a blade amid the COP26 summit will stand trial next year.
Matthew Leonard, from Oakland in California, is accused of being in possession of a multitool containing a knife in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park on November 1 this year.
Prosecutors state the 42-year-old had with him a sharply pointed object without lawful authority or a reasonable excuse.
Leonard, who is part of the grassroots movement Oil and Gas Network, pled not guilty to the single charge on Tuesday.
A trial was set for April next year by Sheriff Amel Elfallah and a hearing was also fixed for March.
Leonard was granted bail meantime.
His conditions of bail include not to cause alarm or distress to witnesses and not to commit offences.
