Roller skater's 'full-circle' moment performing in Scots circus show

Glasgow's own Maddox Dock is set to dazzle crowds in her hometown as part of the High Energy Extreme Roller Skating duo alongside partner Jamil.

A Scottish woman has made a triumphant return home to Glasgow to perform as part of Circus Extreme’s world tour.

Maddox Dock is set to dazzle crowds in her hometown as part of the High Energy Extreme Roller Skating duo alongside partner Jamil.

The 21-year-old said her return home will be a “full-circle” moment after first taking to the stage in Glasgow at the age of three.

Ms Dock is no stranger to the circus life as she is a fourth generation circus performer who was born whilst her parents were on tour with Cottle and Austen’s Circus.

Her grandfather is Gerry Cottle, who has been described as the “modern age greatest showman”.

Ms Dock said she was encouraged to practice all circus acts from a young age, including juggling and hula hoops before settling on roller skating.

“Both me and JamiI love performing at Circus Extreme, we crave circus and strive to create edge of your seat entertainment whilst spinning around at break neck speeds!”

Fans will be able to catch Ms Dock and her partner in action at Silverburn Shopping Centre until July 28.

Other acts included in the show are the Ayala Troupe, who will be performing their award winning high wire act – which has never been seen before in the UK.

Circus legend Laura Miller will also be showcasing her internationally-renowned aquatic aerial ring which unites the elements of fire, water and air.
