A ten-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Friday morning near a primary school in Paisley.

Emergency services were called to a report of a crash at around 8.50am on June 23 on Lochfield Road.

The child was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Enquiries into the cause of the crash are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.50am on Friday, June 23, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a ten-year-old boy on Lochfield Road, Paisley. 

“The boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries into the cause of the crash are ongoing.”
