A charity donation jar has been stolen from a coffee shop in Glasgow that helps to feed hungry children while kids were visiting the store.

Launch Coffee on Bothwell Street said that during a visit involving 30 schoolchildren to the shop on Wednesday morning, the jar was stolen from the counter.

Run by charity Launch Foods, all sales from the shop go towards helping to feed hungry children across the city.

The shop also said the money raised helps to purchase gifts at Christmas for children.

A post read: “Launch Foods feeling shocked and upset this morning – whilst we had 30 of our wonderful school kids in for an end of term treat our donation jar was stolen from our counter.

“The jar helps us to buy Christmas gifts for the kids.”

Since being established in 2018, Launch Foods have provided over quarter of a million free meals to children.
