Police confirmed the assault took place in Glasgow city centre on September 12, after the Scotland v England game at Hampden Park.

CCTV images have been released amid an investigation into an assault in Glasgow following a Scotland v England football match.

The incident took place on Duke Street in the city centre around 10.30pm on September 12 following the football match.

Police have now released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the assault.

The man is described as a white, with brown hair and is of slim build. He was wearing a Scotland football top and high visibility work-style trousers.

Detective constable Harris said: “I would urge the male pictured or anyone who may recognise him or has information about this incident to contact us as soon as possible.

“Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4279 of September 12, 2023.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
