Police want to speak to two people who were seen on CCTV around the time of the attack in Glasgow.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man and a woman who they believe could assist them with their investigation into an assault in Glasgow.

The incident happened on Albion Street in the city centre on Saturday, April 27 at around 3am.

The woman in the CCTV footage is described being around 60 years old, with a medium build and blonde hair.

She was seen wearing a red patterned shirt, jeans, and sandals and carrying a brown handbag.

The man is described as white, around 30 years old, with a slim build and brown hair.

He was seen to be wearing a black jacket, khaki trousers and a burgundy backpack.

Detective constable Victoria Steele said: “We encourage this man and woman, or anyone who may recognise them or has information about this incident, to please come forward”.

Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0757 of April 27.
