Two people are in hospital after a crash on the M8 in Glasgow which caused a car to flip onto its side.
Emergency services were called to the motorway’s Junction 12 at Riddrie on Sunday night shortly after 7pm after receiving a report of a two-vehicle crash.
One of the cars involved in the collision had flipped onto its side as a result.
Two people were rushed to hospital by ambulance where their conditions are currently unknown.
The motorway was closed for just over two hours between junctions 11 and 12 with diversions in place and reopened at 9.25pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.05pm on Sunday, September 3, 2023, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on the M8 near to Junction 12 at Riddrie.
“Emergency services attended and two people were taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Diversions were in place until the road completely reopened at around 9.25pm.”
