A cannabis farm worth £300,000 has been seized in a police raid.

Two men – aged 29 and 31 – have been charged in connection with the discovery in West Dunbartonshire.

Officers swooped in on industrial units on Glasgow Road, Clydebank, during the early hours of Friday morning.

Police said the large quantity of cannabis plants recovered had an estimated street value of £300,000.

The suspects are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1am on Friday, May 1, officers acting on information searched industrial units on Glasgow Road, Clydebank, and discovered a large quantity of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £300,000.

“Two men, aged 29 and 31, have been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.  

“They are due to appear before Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, May 4.

“A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
