A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after he fell from a bridge in Kilmarnock.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Green Street, Kilmarnock, at around 4.50pm on Friday, May 19.

The 13-year-old had fallen from a bridge in the area and suffered a non-serious leg injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Images from the scene showed a mass emergency service presence in the town centre.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.50pm on Friday, May 19, we received a report of a boy falling from a bridge in Green Street, Kilmarnock.

“The 13-year-old sustained a non-serious leg injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment.”
