The body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde in Glasgow.
Police received reports of a body in the water near Mavisbank Quay around 10am on Thursday.
Officers attended the scene and recovered the body from the water.
Police said that formal identification has yet to take place but the family of the man has been informed.
As a result of the discovery, the Tradeston Bridge was cordoned off for a number of hours.
Several police officers and vans were seen at the scene directing pedestrians away from the bridge.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.10am on Thursday, January 11, 2024, we received a report of a body in the River Clyde in Glasgow near Mavisbank Quay.
“Officers attended and the body of a man was recovered.
“Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of the man has been informed.”
