The body of a man found in a Glasgow park on Saturday morning has been identified as that of a man missing for more than two weeks.
Thomas Houston had been reported missing from the Milton area of the city and had last been seen on Thursday, November 24.
Police were called at around 10.40am on Saturday morning after the body of a man had been found in Molendinar Park in the Blackhill area, which has now been identified as that of the missing 55-year-old.
Mr Houston’s family have been informed, police said.
Police Scotland said in a statement that the death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The body of a man was found in Molendinar Park, Glasgow, around 10.40am on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
“The body has been identified as 55-year-old Thomas Houston, who had been reported missing from the Milton area of Glasgow. His family has been informed.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
