Body found in search for man who went missing wearing Rangers top

The family of missing local man Ryan Cree have been informed that a body has been found.

The body, believed to be that of a man last seen six days ago, has been found in Ayrshire.

At around 11am on Friday, the body of a man was discovered in the High Glencairn Street area of Kilmarnock.

While formal identification is yet to take place, police confirmed that the family of missing local man Ryan Cree have been informed.

The 33-year-old had last been seen at around 9pm on Saturday, October 29, in Methven Avenue in the Shortlees area.

There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Friday, November 4, 2022, the body of a man was found in the High Glencairn Street area of Kilmarnock.

“Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Ryan Cree, reported missing from the local area, has been informed.

“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.”
