Motorcyclist who died after crash at industrial estate named by police

Police have confirmed the identity of a motorcyclist who died in hospital following a collision at an industrial estate in Kilmarnock.

Bobby Landsborough, 45, collided with a van at Moorfield Industrial Estate around 2.10pm on June 7, 2022.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries, where he was held in critical condition.

The motorcyclist, from Ayr, died of his injuries on Saturday evening, four days after the crash.

The 39-year-old male driver of the van was uninjured.

Police closed the road for around four hours while crash investigations were carried out.

A statement by Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information that could assist road policing officers, or who has dash-cam that could help, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1863 of Tuesday, June 7, 2022.”
