A road in East Renfreshire has been closed for hours following to a crash involving a cyclist and a bus.
Officers were alerted to the collision on Ayr Road, Newton Mearns around 12.45pm on Wednesday.
Police said that the road is closed between Raeside Grove, Mearnswood Place and Malletsheugh Road while officers remain on the scene.
Drivers have been urged to use an alternative route where possible.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.40pm to attend an incident on Ayr Road, Newton Mearns.
“An ambulance, trauma team and two special operations response teams (SORT) were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
