Amber Gibson’s brother has reappeared in court charged with sexually assaulting and murdering her.
Connor Gibson made no plea at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
Amber was reported missing from Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, after failing to return home on Friday, November 26.
The 16-year-old’s body was eventually discovered in the town’s Cadzow Glen park on the morning of Sunday, November 28.
Last week, her brother was charged with murder and sexual assault under section two of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
He was also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He made no plea when he appeared in the dock last Friday.
The 19-year-old was remanded in custody pending his next court appearance, which is yet to be confirmed.
