The A82 in West Dunbartonshire has been closed due to an “unstable verge” and drivers have been warned to find alternative routes.
Police issued a warning on Thursday morning that the A82, near Dumbarton, was closed southbound between the Dunglass Roundabout and Erskine Bridge.
Traffic Scotland revealed the road was closed due to an unstable verge.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the route due to the diversion route via the A814 being “extremely busy”.
A police spokesperson said: “The A82 near Dumbarton is closed southbound between the Dunglass Roundabout and Erskine Bridge.
“The diversion route is via the A814 and is already extremely busy. Follow Traffic Scotland for updates.”
