A major road in South Ayrshire has been closed in both directions after a water mains burst during the night.
The A77 at Kirkoswald was shut at around 3.35am on Thursday.
Drivers have been urged to find alternative routes.
It is unknown at this stage if any homes have been affected.
Traffic Scotland said: “A77 at Kirkoswald is closed in both directions due to a burst water mains.”
An update at 6.20am said: “A77 at Kirkoswald remains closed in both directions due to a burst water mains.
“Use alternative route if possible.”
Scottish Water and Police Scotland have been contacted.
