A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A77.
The collision, involving two cars, happened near to Grassyards Interchange, Kilmarnock, at around 1.30pm on Friday.
Emergency services were called, and a woman was taken to Crosshouse Hospital.
Her condition is currently unknown.
Traffic Scotland said the A77 heading southbound near to the interchange was closed in both directions as emergency services attended the crash.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 1.30pm on Friday, April 29, police were called to a report of a two-vehicle road crash on the A77 near to Grassyards interchange, Kilmarnock.
“Officers are at the scene assisting and the road is currently closed.
“A female is being taken to Crosshouse Hospital.”
