Detectives investigating the rape of a woman near a train station in September have released CCTV of a man they are hunting.

A 24-year-old woman was walking in Holm Street, close to Glasgow Central Station, when she was attacked in a lane in the early hours of Saturday, September 26 last year.

On Friday, Police Scotland re-released images of the man, who officers want to speak to over the sex attack.

The victim was walking along Holm Street near Wellington Street at 1.15am when she was approached by an unknown man who attacked her in a lane.

The man is described as white, 25-30 years of age, of slim build and with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark hooded top, dark blue jeans and white trainers.

Detective inspector Graeme McLachlan, of Greater Glasgow Public Protection Unit, said: "We previously released these images of a man we want to speak to in connection with our investigation and although there were a few lines of inquiry, they have not resulted in any arrests.

"I would appeal to everyone to take a look at these images again. If you remember seeing this man on the night of the incident or know who he is then please let us know because he may have information that could assist with our enquiry.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, where details can be given in confidence."
