An 11-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Stenhousemuir.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident involving car and the child pedestrian around 4.20pm on Friday.
The incident happened on King Street with the road being closed for a short time being reopening at 5pm the same evening.
Police confirmed that the 11-year-old male was taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for futher treatment.
The 57-year-old male driver of the black Vauxhall Astra involved in the crash wasn’t injured.
Road policing officers are now appealing for witnesses following the crash.
Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed what happened.
“We are also particularly keen to trace any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time it occurred.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2380 of December, 29.”
