The 69-year-old woman was struck by a Citroen Berlingo in Oban’s Soroba Road at around 6.30pm on Thursday.
Emergency services attended and she was taken to the town’s Lorn and Islands Hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The male driver of the Citroen was uninjured.

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this incident and would urge anyone who may be able to help to get in touch.
