Scotland star Zander Fagerson will see a specialist over a hamstring injury picked up while playing for Glasgow Warriors.
With two months to go until the Six Nations, STV News has learned that the 26-year-old decided to seek a specialists advice after going for a scan earlier this week on the injury he sustained at the weekend.
Scotland will travel to Twickenham to play England in their Six Nations opener on February 4 before hosting Wales in Edinburgh a week later.
The news that Fagerson will see a specialist comes just days after it was revealed that Darcy Graham was ruled out next year.
The Edinburgh winger suffered medial ligament damage during his club’s defeat to Munster on Saturday.
