Tickets for Scotland’s Euro 2024 opener against Germany hit resale sites for as much as £12,000 SNS Group

Tickets for Scotland’s Euro 2024 opener against Germany could cost desperate Tartan Army followers as much as £12,000.

Gold-dust briefs for the tournament opener in Munich on June 14 have been made available on ticket resale site StubHub, but they aren’t going cheap.

UEFA have also warned fans against using such sites and said those who do could be denied entry to the stadium.

The official ticketing site suffered technical issues after being opened again on Thursday in what will be the final public sale.

After being placed in a queue, some hopeful fans were faced with an error page with others unable to complete a captcha form when no numbers were displayed on the screen.

Tens of thousands of Scotland fans, with or without tickets, are expected to make the trip to Germany this summer to soak up the atmosphere.

Steve Clarke’s side play the hosts in the opening game, in what will be their first Euros game outside on the UK since 1992.

They will then take on Switzerland and Hungary as they bid to reach the knockout stages of a major tournament for the first time ever.
