Motherwell striker Theo Bair has hailed the collective effort behind his goal streak after reaching double figures for the season.

Bair hit a double during Motherwell’s 3-3 draw at Aberdeen to move on to 10 for the campaign and eight in his last six cinch Premiership matches for Stuart Kettlewell’s men.

The former St Johnstone forward, 24, said: “It’s amazing but all of that work comes from my team-mates, the gaffer and his staff pushing me.

“If you guys saw the work that we do … I scored that exact same goal in training just two days ago.

“The work that we are doing is really amazing. I can’t commend the collective enough.

“The team is obviously in good form. It was frustrating not to get three points but I’m really happy to get to double digits.

“The guidance I’ve been given at Motherwell has been second to none.

“The information I’m given, the videos, the push from my team-mates, the use from the gaffer and his staff, if you guys were to see it you’d be truly amazed by all the work we put in.

“I’m very confident but it comes from a collective standpoint. We do an unbelievable amount of work. I’m benefiting from it but also the team is benefitting from it.”

Adam Devine added to Bair’s double to put Motherwell three ahead but their advantage was cancelled out five minutes into the second half.

Although Motherwell are unbeaten in six league games, all of which Bair has scored in, he knows they could have had more points on the board.

“I think we just have to be more ruthless, maybe a bit nastier, just to see out the game,” the Canadian said ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Hearts at Tynecastle.

“There have been many games when we’ve been frustrated. Hibs was another one when they scored in 90 plus minutes.

“We need to find that ruthless edge to finish off games if we are going to collect three points more often.

“That said, we are performing really well. It’s just little mistakes that need to be taken out of our game. Then we will get those three points.”
