Steven Gerrard has named his Rangers side to face Slavia Prague in the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie.

Rangers are looking to make further progress in Europe just days after celebrating success in the Premiership, ending Celtic’s long grip on the trophy.

After seeing off Royal Antwerp in the last 32 of the competition, the Ibrox side now face stern competition, with Slavia having beaten Leicester City to reach this stage.

Gerrard has named a strong team for the challenge in Prague, unchanged from the side that beat St Mirren 3-0 on Saturday.

Allan McGregor starts in goal behind a back four of Borna Barisic, Filip Helander, Connor Goldson and Nathan Patterson.

Joe Aribo, Steven Davis and Glen Kamara make up a midfield trio with Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi playing either side of striker Alfredo Morelos.

The substitutes are John McLaughlin, Calvin Bassey, Cedric Itten, Bongani Zungu, Scott Wright, Greg Stewart, Kemar Roofe, Jack Simpson, Scott Arfield and Leon King.
