Scotland’s Euro 2022 qualifier has been moved to a neutral venue after travel restrictions meant it cannot take place in Edinburgh this month.

The sides were scheduled to play at Easter Road on February 23 but current government restrictions on travel between Portugal and the UK mean an alternative arrangement had to be found.

After discussions with UEFA, the match has been moved to Larnaca in Cyprus.

The change means back-to-back matches on the Mediterranean island for Scotland, who play Cyprus at the AEK Arena four days before the Portugal match.

Stuart McLaren will name his squad for the double header next week, having been appointed as interim manager for the two remaining qualifying games.
