Clarke reacts to Euro 2024 qualification ahead of France test

The Scotland boss knows his side are guaranteed to be in Germany next summer as they prepare for a friendly against the World Cup finalists.

Steve Clarke is speaking to the media after Scotland’s qualification for Euro 2024 was sealed without kicking a ball.

The Tartan Army are off to Germany after Spain’s 1-0 win over Norway on Sunday meant the side were now uncatchable in the top two of Group A.

World Cup finalists France host Clarke’s men in a friendly in Lille on Tuesday, though the visitors will be without captain Andy Robertson after he sustained a shoulder injury against the Spaniards in Seville on Thursday.

Fellow defender Aaron Hickey will also miss out, but that has opened the door for teenager Max Johnston to make the step up from the under-21’s as cover.
