Rangers discuss Florian Kamberi loan deal with Hibs

Steven Gerrard has moved quickly to strengthen his options in attacking areas and is interested in the striker.

Rangers are locked in talks with Hibs over a loan deal for striker Florian Kamberi.

Steven Gerrard has moved quickly to strengthen his options in attacking areas after Jermain Defoe was stretchered off during their 2-0 win over Ross County.

Rangers have made their interest in 24-year-old Kamberi known and want to sign the striker, who has netted eight times for the Easter Road outfit this season, until the end of the season.

Genk’s Ianis Hagi has already landed in Scotland and is expected to undergo a medical at Ibrox ahead of another proposed loan move, with an option to make the deal permanent.

The club has already confirmed the departure of Eduardo Herrera, who has joined Mexican side Club Puebla.

Meanwhile, fullback Borna Barisic has signed a new contract, extending his stay until the summer of 2024.
