Rangers have completed the signing of midfielder Juninho Bacuna from Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old was confirmed as the club’s latest signing ahead of their Europa League play-off against Alashkert.
He becomes the Ibrox side’s fourth addition to the first team squad this summer, following Fashion Sakala, John Lundstram and Nnamdi Ofoborh in the door at Ibrox.
Bacuna moved to Huddersfield from Dutch side Groningen three years ago and made over 100 appearances for the club, starting 83 games. The midfielder scored twelve goals in his time in England.
The Dutchman was born in Groningen and played for Netherlands up to Under-21 level but has since declared for Curacao and earned 10 full international caps.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard spoke on Wednesday about his desire to add to his midfield, saying: “We did ask Glen Kamara, Steven Davis and Joe Aribo to go above and beyond last season and they did that, but I don’t want to be as vulnerable as I was, I do want to have options.
“I do like two top players in each position and if we can get this signing that we are looking at over the line in these coming days then I will be really satisfied with my engine room.”
