Nominations for the PFA Premiership player and Scotland’s young player of the year have been revealed with four players shortlisted for each of the awards.
The Professional Footballers Association announced the nominees for the prestigious gong on Wednesday.
Three of Celtic’s league winning squad have made the cut for Player of the Year alongside one from Motherwell for the award voted by their top flight opponents.
Top-scorer Kyogo Furuhashi is included in the shortlist as has Hoops captain Callum McGregor and his midfield partner Reo Hatate.
Motherwell hitman Kevin van Veen is also in contention after netting 23 goals in all competitions for the Steelmen this season.
Notable omissions include Aberdeen’s Luis ‘Duk’ Lopes, Celtic’s Cameron Carter-Vickers and Rangers captain James Tavernier.
No Rangers players have been included, although they do have Malik Tillman in the young player of the year category alongside Matt O’Riley and Liel Abada from Celtic and Charlie Reilly from Albion Rovers.
The PFA also announced their team of the season on Tuesday with seven Celtic players being included alongside James Tavernier and Tillman from Rangers.
Van Veen and Duk were named in a three man attack alongside Kyogo with Hatate, McGregor and Tillman in midfield.
Joe Hart was in goals behind Tavernier, Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor.
