Motherwell FC manager, Stuart Kettlewell, has been named the Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manager of the Month for February.
Kettlewell stepped up to take charge of the first team after the departure of Steven Hammell and guided Motherwell to seven points from three games.
Initially working as caretaker boss, he engineered a 2-1 home win over St Mirren before beating Hearts 2-0 at Fir Park.
The turnaround in performances and six crucial points in the fight against relegation helped him land the job on a permanent basis and he then oversaw a 1-1 draw away at Kilmarnock on February 25.
Those results earned Kettlewell recognition as manager of the month and he has continued the team’s run of form by recording a 2-0 win away at his former club Ross County. Motherwell now sit ninth in the table, ten points off bottom side Dundee United and six clear of the play-off place.
“This is a reward for the amount of effort the staff at this club have put in this last month,” Kettlewell said.
“It has been a good start but our job is far from done and now I want us to continue moving forward for a strong end to the season.”
