Motherwell have completed the signing of attacker Moses Ebiye on a permanent deal.

The 26-year-old was a free agent after leaving Norwegian side Aalesund in January and has now signed a contract at Fir Park that runs until May 2025.

Ebiye had been training with the Motherwell squad and impressed manager Stuart Kettlewell enough that he has been handed a deal not only covering the remainder of the current season but he will be part of the plans for next year.

“This has been a long and arduous process,” Kettlewell said.

“A lot of people behind the scenes at the club have had to work very hard but we’re very excited to see what Moses can do in his time at the club.

“His goalscoring record in Norway is very impressive and we feel that is something that will benefit us as we go into the remainder of the season.”

“I am very happy to have joined the club,” Moses Ebiye added.

“It has been good training and getting to know the team. I hope I can make an impact in my time here.”

The Nigerian moved to Lillestrom in 2017 and has been in Norwegian football since, also playing for Strommen, Ham Kam and Tromso.

He’s scored 19 goals in 96 top flight games in Norway and Motherwell hope he can bolster their top six hopes and help them to a strong finish in the Premiership.
